Hummingbird decorator table

This was another piece that was requested for a gift. I used mostly deep, royal colors - some may call them gem tones. I like to use everyday items a lot to add the appearance of different textrures to my art, and I did so with this table. The hummingbirds were stenciled in; however - as always - everything is hand painted. The cloud in the middle was a specific request (not necessarily as a cloud, but more as a space) to allow a place to add a vase without disrupting the rest of the painted scene.

Burgundy coffee table

This was a round coffee table that was donated to me to paint. Not having ever done a large piece of furniture - I was a bit anxious when first sitting down to see what would come of my unfiished wood piece. But once I stared painting the background burgundy, I decided I needed another texture to it somehow. So, I got some textured spray paint of similar color and absolutely loved the effect. Then, to add a decorative element, I chose a stencil that I thought would add to the table without taking it over.

Eye of God

Many times I paint with no real idea of what it is I'm going to paint. I just feel at times I need to paint, and trust that whatever comes of it was meant to be. Such is the case with this piece that I started as the rest of my apartment complex was going to sleep - I was just starting to paint. So came my interpretation of the Eye of God. This has since been gifted away. I plan to paint more of them soon, as a matter of fact.
